Un felino sagrado y cautivador, que habita las regiones altas de Argentina, Per\u00fa, Bolivia y Chile. Una especie extra\u00f1a que pocos han gozado de la oportunidad de tenerlo en frente<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existen 12 especies de felinos en todo Am\u00e9rica, cada una de ellas en diferente nivel de amenaza y con diferentes caracter\u00edsticas, todas comparten algo en com\u00fan: son como fantasmas dif\u00edciles de encontrar.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Una especie que sorprende<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un habitante de grandes altitudes, llega incluso a m\u00e1s de 5.000 m. sobre el nivel del mar, convive con ambientes muy hostiles, que pasa de una alt\u00edsima radiaci\u00f3n solar a un fr\u00edo extremo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De tama\u00f1o dos veces m\u00e1s grande que un gato dom\u00e9stico, se trata de uno de los m\u00e1s atractivos felinos silvestres y el \u00fanico que presenta rayas en su pelambre . Es uno de los gatos m\u00e1s escurridizos del mundo, que a penas ha logrado ser visto a trav\u00e9s de c\u00e1maras trampa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con un \u00fatil pelaje de color gris, con manchitas rojizas y amarillentas, el que le permite camuflarse con el ambiente \u00e1rido donde vive y as\u00ed poder conseguir su alimento.\u00a0 Se caracteriza por tener una cola muy larga (66 a 75 por ciento del largo de cabeza y cuerpo), gruesa, cil\u00edndrica, de aspecto felpudo y con seis a nueve anillos anchos de caf\u00e9 oscuro a negro. Es <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conocido tambi\u00e9n como \u201cel gato sagrado de los andes\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La dificultad de ver al felino m\u00e1s amenazado de Am\u00e9rica le ha valido t\u00edtulos como \u201cel fantasma de los Andes\u201d y ancestralmente\u00a0 es\u00a0 conocido como Chaski, bautizado de esta manera, en honor a los mensajeros Incas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Por Pilar R\u00edos El gato andino (Leopardus jacobita) llama la atenci\u00f3n por ser un verdadero fantasma de Los Andes.
