Major in Smoke-Free Living Contest
The Oxygen Project 2008 "Major in Smoke-Free Living" contest is a chance for you to make a difference at your school, and in the health of your peers by proposing ways to implement smoke-free policies on your campus.
This contest will get your school moving toward smoke-free policies, while building your resume and giving you a chance to win up to $2,500 for a campus organization. To enter, simply have a campus organization act as your sponsor, fill out an entry form, and develop a plan for implementing smoke-free policies on your campus.
If your plan is chosen, your team will be given $300 to implement an advertising or awareness campaign, a community service or research project, or create an art project to carry out your plan. Entries will be sent to third-party judges, and first-, second- and third-place winners will be notified by May 2. The Arkansas Department of Health will tour schools across the state to give feedback on projects. Go to the Events Schedule page to find out when they are coming to your school.
